Within the manor grounds, you can enjoy a variety of self-guided activities such as pétanque, mölkky, and cycling — equipment is available upon request at the hotel reception.
In winter, a direct ski trail leads all the way to Nuuksio National Park. Nearby, you’ll find stunning nature spots: Myllyjärvi, only 800 meters away, is a peaceful retreat perfect for relaxing walks, while the Oittaa and Pirttimäki outdoor areas invite you to jog, ski, and unwind surrounded by nature.
The area is also home to the high-quality Primus Stable, offering horseback riding groups for all skill levels.

Backby Manor offers exciting experiences for disc golf enthusiasts! The Ace Park Backby course, starting right on the manor grounds, is a high-quality, year-round disc golf course. The Ace Park premium course provides enjoyment for both beginners and seasoned competitors without compromising on quality.

Backby Manor offers excellent conditions for cycling amidst the beautiful natural landscapes of Espoo. Set off on a relaxing ride along the manor’s peaceful forest trails all the way to the routes of Nuuksio National Park. You can choose a route that suits your fitness level and schedule—whether you prefer a gentle afternoon cruise or a more challenging mountain biking adventure. Bike rentals are also available at the manor, and route recommendations can be provided on site.

Right next to Backby Manor, you’ll find two high-quality golf courses offering excellent facilities for both experienced players and hobbyists alike.
Master Golf Located on the shores of Lake Bodomjärvi, Master Golf features two distinct 18-hole courses: the park-like Master Course and the forested Forest Course. Both courses cater to players of varying skill levels, and guests are warmly welcome.
Espoo Ringside Golf Situated in Niipperi, Espoo, along Ring III, Ringside Golf is an 18-hole course with a par of 73. The facility includes an excellent driving range and practice area, as well as a 3-hole PAR3 course designed for beginners. The course is designed to suit players of all ages and abilities, with a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. All services, including a restaurant and pro shop, are conveniently located near the clubhouse.
